Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli and Wheat Pasta
- 4-6 servings of whole wheat pasta
- 1 can of cream of mushroom
- 1 can measurement of milk (same can as the cream of mushroom)
- parmesan cheese
- two heads of broccoli
- 2 breaded chicken breasts
Michelle made us dinner the other, but I helped her out along the way. She was teaching me how to make an alfredo pasta sauce out of a can of cream of mushroom.
We cooked the pasta, and left it a bit undercooked because it would cook off in the sauce later on. In a separate pan, we poured the can of cream of mushroom and filled it with milk and added it to the cream of mushroom. We cooked it over medium heat until the sauce thickened and also added parmesan cheese, basil, and italian seasoning along with black pepper.
We boiled the broccoli and cooked the breaded chicken breasts in the toaster oven. We cut up the pieces and just combined it together in the sauce pan. It was really simple and REALLY good. I will definitely use cream of mushroom more in the future.
