Grilled Chicken and Shrimp with a side of Snow Peas

Grilled Chicken and Shrimp with a side of Snow Peas

Made on Sept. 23, 2009 for Dinner

Ingredients:

1 chicken breast

2 cloves of chopped garlic

salt & pepper

1/2 lb of shrimp

1 clove of chopped garlic

marinated in a dash of soy sauce, a quarter tablespoon of sesame oil, salt & pepper, and a dash of fish sauce.

1 cup of snow peas

1 clove of chopped garlic

salt & pepper

So, last night, Nicole and I decided to try the stove top grill that my mom bought for me from Hawaii supermarket. We lined the bottom of the grill with aluminum foil, to catch any drippings from the chicken and shrimp we were grilling. We sauteed the snow peas to the point where they were soft and yet still crunchy.

After cooking the snow peas, we heated the grill and sprayed pam on the top—so the meat would not stick to the grill. We grilled the chicken and shrimp all the way through. The shrimp cooked faster than the chicken (obviously).

This was a really yummy dinner! Really light and easy to prepare. We marinated the chicken and shrimp for about an hour before cooking it. I think it would taste even better if it were marinated over night, but nonetheless it was a great meal!

I really, really like the stove top grill. It was easy to clean up afterwards. I will definitely use this grill again in the future.

edit: Nicole later that night decided to make sugar cookies from scratch…but… they didn’t turn out the way we anticipated. O_O
